The company seeks a Security Engineer to shape security strategies, drive automation initiatives, and influence the future of security at SpyCloud.
Responsibilities include cloud and infrastructure security engineering, architecting and implementing cloud-native security solutions, leading security design reviews, and integrating security tooling and automation.
The role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to embed security into the development lifecycle and improve security posture across the organization.
The Security Engineer will drive architectural decisions, continuous improvement of processes, and optimize workflows for detection and response efforts.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of full-time experience in software, infrastructure, or security engineering roles.
Proficiency in developing tools and automations with an object-oriented language, preferably Python, is required.
A deep understanding of securing distributed, high-availability, cloud-native production environments is essential.
Hands-on experience with designing and maintaining secure systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS) is necessary.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi is required.
Nice to have: Experience deploying and operating Palo Alto Next-Generation firewalls and working with complex multi-region or multi-cloud networking architectures.
Occasional after-hours work may be required to support incident response efforts.
