Remote Security Engineer

Description:

• Pitch is a complete pitching platform that empowers teams to manage the entire customer lifecycle in one seamless workflow.
• As a Security Engineer at Pitch, you will enhance the security of the platform, customers, and the company.
• You will work on various projects across all teams, focusing on creating a fun and secure user experience.
• Responsibilities include defining and implementing security controls and procedures for new Pitch features and products.
• You will perform security testing of new features to ensure they are secure before shipping.
• Expanding the current security infrastructure by adding security checks to all steps of the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is part of your role.
• You will help define and implement security policies for SDLC and other areas within the company.
• Providing day-to-day guidance and support to developers and engineers regarding security questions and best practices is expected.
• You will identify and implement tools and automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security processes.
• Supporting the go-to-market team by responding to vendor risk assessments and reviewing security vulnerability reports is also part of your duties.

Requirements:

• You should have 4+ years of working experience as a Security Engineer or a Software Development background with 2+ years in a security role.
• A strong understanding of code flows and structures, along with experience in code reviews, is required.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python is necessary.
• A deep understanding of security best practices is essential.
• You must have the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with the Pitch engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to share and teach are important.
• Experience with CI/CD systems would be ideal.
