Scaleway is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen the engineering part of their CSIRT team.
The role involves building, creating, and developing reliable and secure tools, as well as contributing to incident response to improve internal visibility on attack risks and meet legal obligations.
The team consists of 5 members, including a Tech Lead and a Manager, and collaborates closely with the Trust & Safety team and other departments.
Daily responsibilities include developing and maintaining internal security tools, creating new approaches to mitigate risks, improving visibility on potential attack surfaces, integrating open source tools, automating detection and alerting capabilities, participating in sprint planning, and providing training on security best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in implementing and understanding SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and UEBA tools.
Experience in developing security tools is required, along with proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
A solid understanding of security principles and incident response workflows is necessary.
Familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and attack surface monitoring solutions like OpenCTI, Shodan, and Shadowserver is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment and have relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE) as a plus.
Proficiency in automation, configuration, and continuous integration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD is required.
A good level of French and English is necessary.
