SupplyHouse.com is seeking a Security Engineer to join their IT Team, reporting to the Security Architect.
The role involves proactively identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
This is a remote position available to individuals in specific states, with travel to headquarters in Melville, NY three times a year for meetings and team-building activities.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with time zone flexibility.
The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing security solutions, monitoring threats, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing security training.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with at least 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity-related role, or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience is required.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of network security, cryptography, cloud security, and application security.
Proficiency with security protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPsec, and SSH is necessary.
Hands-on experience with security tools like Wireshark, Nessus, Splunk, and Metasploit is required.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and CCPA is essential.
Experience in incident response, forensic analysis, and threat intelligence is needed.
Knowledge of security controls in Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms like GCP is important.
The ability to design and conduct cybersecurity tabletop exercises is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication skills, are necessary for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
