Scalable Capital is seeking a seasoned security professional to lead and scale their Security Operations Center (SOC).
The SOC manager will establish and refine SOC processes, mentor and grow a team of analysts, and serve as the primary point of contact for all incident response and security monitoring activities.
The role involves partnering with engineering, IT, and executive leadership to align security operations with business objectives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuously improve detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day SOC operations, developing and maintaining SOC playbooks and procedures, leading major security incidents, defining and tracking SOC metrics, overseeing SIEM/SOAR platform optimization, conducting risk assessments, mentoring SOC analysts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and evaluating new security tools.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience in cybersecurity operations in a leadership or SOC management role.
A deep understanding of SIEM, SOAR, incident response methodologies, threat intelligence, and cloud security (AWS preferred) is required.
A proven track record of building or scaling a SOC, including process development and team management, is essential.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC (GSOC, GCIH) are a plus.
Exceptional communication skills are necessary, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a proactive, results-oriented mindset, are required.
Experience aligning security operations with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, DORA, PCI-DSS, etc.) is also necessary.
