  • The Senior Account Executive will communicate Sonatype’s value proposition to increase sales and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Responsibilities include delivering lead generation to Fortune 1000 accounts through target account selling, outbound cold calling, and managing inbound leads.
  • The position requires managing the sales pipeline within Salesforce and collaborating with ADRs and presales engineers to close business.
  • The role also involves working with field marketing to create events aimed at driving new prospects and advancing existing opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, particularly focused on acquiring new logos.
  • Successful experience in the Agile, DevOps, Open Source, or Enterprise Software sectors is required.
  • Applicants should have experience in building regional account plans and developing new relationships that lead to customer acquisition.
  • Familiarity with selling in the territories of Kansas City, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City is essential.
  • A BS or BA degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a startup software organization and an understanding of the DevOps and/or Application Security industry is a plus.
