Remote Senior AI Engineer

Description:

• This role is part of the Central AI Team at saas.group, a company established in 2017 that focuses on enhancing B2B SaaS ventures.
• The Senior AI Engineer will design, evaluate, and ship AI solutions for products used by hundreds of thousands of users across the company's portfolio.
• The position involves collaborating with product and brand teams to translate user needs and data into solution designs, planning and running experiments, and delivering reliable systems to production with the support of DevOps engineers.
• The engineer will work with both conventional machine learning and modern Generative AI/LLMs, ensuring data quality and responsible use.
• Responsibilities include delivering end-to-end AI solutions, building production-grade software in Python, developing reusable AI capabilities, collaborating with AI teammates, and upholding quality and best practices.
• Immediate impact in the first three months includes shipping a real feature, making it repeatable, and creating an internal case study to inspire and educate teams.

Requirements:

• Proven end-to-end delivery of AI features to production, owning the lifecycle from problem framing to post-launch iteration is required.
• Strong Python engineering skills with at least 5 years of experience in building production software, particularly with APIs (mostly FastAPI), testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Applied AI expertise is necessary, including hands-on experience with conventional ML and GenAI/LLMs, integrating multiple LLM providers, and using frameworks like LangChain.
• Solid SQL skills and the ability to build simple data pipelines, define success metrics, design experiments, and make decisions based on results are essential.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and good practices for versioning prompts, models, and datasets is required for production readiness.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills, including clear communication with stakeholders, thoughtful documentation, and a willingness to mentor junior colleagues.
