Description:

  • mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers.
  • The company is building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app, and online, while consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.
  • As a Senior Android Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager and contribute to the development of the Android app used by major financial institutions in Australia.
  • You will be part of the mx51 Device team, playing a key role in delivering projects and collaborating within the team.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining the Android application in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, creating and optimizing clean APIs, automating testing and CI/CD using tools like Paparazzi, JUnit, and Github Actions, collaborating with DevOps to containerize applications using Docker, and deploying to Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
  • You will work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and participate in development processes such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices is essential, along with recommending and implementing improvements to the tech stack.
