mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers.
The company is building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app, and online, while consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager and contribute to the development of the Android app used by major financial institutions in Australia.
You will be part of the mx51 Device team, playing a key role in delivering projects and collaborating within the team.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining the Android application in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, creating and optimizing clean APIs, automating testing and CI/CD using tools like Paparazzi, JUnit, and Github Actions, collaborating with DevOps to containerize applications using Docker, and deploying to Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
You will work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and participate in development processes such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
Staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices is essential, along with recommending and implementing improvements to the tech stack.
