The Partnerships team focuses on unlocking growth by integrating with strategic external partners to drive high-intent demand to the marketplace.
The team works on building APIs, iframe widgets, and partner-facing surfaces that connect Thumbtack with platforms like Amazon Alexa, OpenAI, and others.
The team consists of 16 engineers organized into two pods, each focused on specific partner verticals, collaborating with BizDev, Product, Design, and Data Science.
The main challenge is to accelerate Thumbtack’s growth by turning the right partnerships into scalable product experiences.
The role involves driving engineering projects to completion with a focus on business impact, executing new ideas in Android, solving technical problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in engineering is required.
Hands-on experience with Kotlin or Java is essential.
The candidate must be a passionate Android engineer comfortable with building, testing, releasing, and maintaining Android applications.
Experience with popular third-party libraries, frameworks, and services such as RxJava, ButterKnife, AutoValue, Retrofit, Dagger, Crashlytics, and Amplitude is necessary, including knowledge of when not to use them.
Benefits:
The expected salary range for candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle is $200,900 - $259,900.
For candidates in Austin, TX or Washington DC, the expected salary range is $180,800 - $234,000.
For candidates in all other US locations, the expected salary range is $170,800 - $221,000.
Actual offered salaries will vary based on factors such as job level, qualifications, skills, and competencies.
