The Senior Android Engineer will join the mobile team to develop innovative features for the mobile commerce application, impacting millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering high-quality Android features, taking full end-to-end ownership of features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The role requires applying best practices in modern Android development, participating in code reviews, optimizing app performance, and using analytics tools to measure feature success.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building consumer-facing Android applications.
Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development practices is required.
A strong grasp of architectural patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture is necessary.
Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and familiarity with reactive programming using Kotlin Flows and Coroutines is expected.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services is essential.
Proven experience deploying features to millions of users in production, focusing on performance, debugging, and real-time monitoring is required.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional, multicultural environments are necessary.
A product-minded approach is important, understanding how technical choices impact users and business outcomes.
Bonus points for experience in iOS development and AI-driven development, automation, or tooling.
