Remote Senior Application Architect - Remote (PH)

Description:

• Theoria Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Architect to design, scale, and optimize complex systems while driving innovation within the technology team.
• This is a full-time remote position based in the Philippines with a compensation of up to $170,000.
• The role involves ownership of domain-specific databases and close collaboration with API and development teams.
• Responsibilities include architecting and implementing secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud environments, managing multi-cloud/hybrid architectures, and enforcing Infrastructure-as-Code standards.
• The architect will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, develop and maintain APIs, web applications, and microservices, and implement observability and incident management protocols.
• The position requires creating disaster recovery plans, optimizing infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency, and maintaining technical documentation.
• The work schedule is night shift based on Manila time.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in software, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including networking, storage, and security is required.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is necessary.
• Candidates should be skilled in DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• A strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems is essential.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js is required.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, and Splunk is necessary.
• Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills are required for collaboration and communication.
