Theoria Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Architect to design, scale, and optimize complex systems while driving innovation within the technology team.
This is a full-time remote position based in the Philippines with a compensation of up to $170,000.
The role involves ownership of domain-specific databases and close collaboration with API and development teams.
Responsibilities include architecting and implementing secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud environments, managing multi-cloud/hybrid architectures, and enforcing Infrastructure-as-Code standards.
The architect will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, develop and maintain APIs, web applications, and microservices, and implement observability and incident management protocols.
The position requires creating disaster recovery plans, optimizing infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency, and maintaining technical documentation.
The work schedule is night shift based on Manila time.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in software, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including networking, storage, and security is required.
Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is necessary.
Candidates should be skilled in DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
A strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js is required.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, and Splunk is necessary.
Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills are required for collaboration and communication.
