The Senior Application Developer is responsible for the development, maintenance, and testing of complex dashboards using industry standard tools within the company’s system.
The role involves following the definition of done and processes around Azure DevOps.
Interaction with stakeholders to understand project requirements and business problems is necessary.
The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a balance between remote work and in-office collaboration.
Key tasks include identifying new features and improvements on standardized workbooks, creating dashboard documentation, supporting client bespoke requests, leading client meetings to understand project requirements, building new solutions, developing wireframes for dashboards, and continuous learning of relevant programming languages.
The role requires demonstrating subject matter expertise in Tableau, SQL, and Python, and providing a buddy system with other developers.
Requirements:
The shift schedule is from 4pm to 1am to support the EMEA region.
Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau.
A degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics is necessary, along with working knowledge of Tableau administration and complex data sets.
Advanced knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools such as Power BI or AWS Quicksight is required.
Candidates should have advanced knowledge in data storytelling and visualization best practices, as well as T-SQL (SELECT, JOIN, UNION, CRUD operations).
Experience in cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake is preferred.
Understanding of Tableau relationships or similar logical join concepts is necessary.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and intermediate programming skills in Python, R, MATLAB, or any analytical programming language.
Preferably, candidates should have working knowledge in VBA, Python, Tableau Prep, Snowflake, and the Private Equity/Investor services industry.
