Remote Senior Application Engineer

Description:

• The role is for a Senior Application Engineer who is enthusiastic, talented, and experienced in software engineering, particularly in the automotive domain.
• The candidate will engage with automotive customers to provide technical guidance, assistance, and prototype proof-of-concept projects.
• Responsibilities include providing onsite technical training, configuration/code review, design guidance, and debugging of complex distributed systems.
• The engineer will triage customer issues both onsite and remotely, ensuring timely solutions.
• The goal is to ensure customer success with RTI technology.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with an advanced degree preferred. Studies related to distributed systems, peer-to-peer networks, and computer networking are preferred.
• A solid understanding of operating system and networking fundamentals is necessary.
• Experience with RTOS and/or deeply embedded system development is required.
• The candidate should have software development experience with C/C++ and Java, gained through internships, university projects, or open source projects.
• A minimum of 5 years of development experience in safety platforms, automotive ADAS/AD programs, or middleware is required.
• Excellent debugging skills are essential.
• The candidate must be interested in working directly with customers to ensure their success.
• The ability to work successfully in a highly distributed team is necessary.
• The candidate must be able to travel 10-25% of the time to work with customers onsite.
• Proficiency in Korean is required.
