Node is seeking a Senior Application Development Engineer to support cybersecurity architecture efforts for DHS USCIS systems.
The Engineer will design and implement enterprise cybersecurity solutions, support threat modeling, automate security processes, and integrate tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, and Tenable.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining new web applications, writing server-side logic in Ruby, building back-end components, integrating with front-end technologies, and API development.
The Engineer will establish a new cybersecurity architecture and a standard set of controls, evaluate current and future network designs for security incorporation, and automate repetitive IT security processes.
Additional tasks involve performing product/standards comparisons, generating Enterprise Architecture procedures, and reviewing existing configuration settings for potential security vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
Education: A BS in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a comparable degree or experience approved by the Government PM is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience developing applications using the Ruby on Rails Framework is required, along with experience in security engineering.
Certifications: Candidates must have Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) or other comparable certification, as well as AWS Certified Professional.
Knowledge: Proficiency in AWS Security, Rest API, and Splunk is required, along with prior experience utilizing Tenable, CrowdStrike, NewRelic, and Flexera. Knowledge of IPv6 is also necessary.
