The company is seeking a passionate Application Security Engineer to drive security across its services and development pipelines.
The role involves championing security best practices, embedding application security into product lifecycles, and empowering engineering teams to build and release safe products.
Key responsibilities include acting as a Security Champion across product teams, designing Secure by Design solutions, promoting Secure Coding standards, leading Vulnerability Management & Remediation, developing standard security packages, conducting Penetration Testing, and enabling continuous improvement through collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on experience in application security (AppSec), DevSecOps, or similar roles.
A background as a software engineer with a keen interest in security is required.
At least 2 years of experience working in an engineering team is a plus.
A deep understanding of the secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and secure-by-design engineering principles is necessary.
Candidates must be skilled in security scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA), incident and remediation workflows, and security automation.
Proficiency in reading and writing code for Java/Python/JavaScript and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is essential.
Proven experience with pentesting or red-team engagements, identifying and exploiting application-level vulnerabilities is required.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to translate technical risks into actionable steps and help engineers incorporate security improvements.
Candidates should be comfortable building trust as a security mentor and champion, raising security maturity across teams.
Contributions to security tooling/open-source projects are a plus.
OSCP, OSCE, GXPN, or similar offensive security certifications are advantageous.
Experience with container security is also required.
