Remote Senior Applied AI Engineer

• The candidate will work on AI Assistant & Agent Systems, focusing on building sophisticated multi-agent systems that can reason, plan, and execute complex sales workflows.
• Responsibilities include developing systems for maintaining conversational context, building scalable large language model platforms, and creating backend systems to support the agents.
• The role may also involve optional focus on Classical AI/ML, including developing recommendation systems and search relevance algorithms.
• Key responsibilities include designing and deploying production LLM systems, creating sophisticated AI agents, developing and optimizing prompting strategies, building robust APIs, implementing evaluation frameworks, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production systems.
• A minimum of 1.5 years of hands-on LLM experience (from 2023-present) is required, specifically in building real applications with modern LLMs like GPT, Claude, or Llama.
• Demonstrated experience in building customer-facing, scalable LLM-powered products is essential.
• Experience in agent development, including multi-step AI agents and complex workflow automation, is required.
• Candidates must possess prompt engineering expertise, with a deep understanding of prompting strategies and optimization techniques.
• Expert-level Python skills for production AI systems are necessary.
• Strong experience in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures is required.
• Familiarity with LangChain or similar frameworks is needed.
• Proven ability to integrate multiple APIs and services to create advanced AI capabilities is essential.
• Experience in deploying and managing AI models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) is required.
• Candidates should have experience implementing rigorous evaluation frameworks for LLM systems, including accuracy and performance metrics.
• Understanding of experimental design for AI system optimization and experience with production monitoring and debugging is necessary.
• Experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power AI systems is required.
