Remote Senior AWS Software Engineer

Description:

• City Electric Supply (CES) is seeking a Senior AWS Software Engineer to join their IT Integrations team.
• The role involves building core integration technologies and collaborating with various engineering teams to deliver integrations across internal systems and third-party services.
• The engineer will mentor the current engineering team on industry best practices, conduct peer code reviews, and lead knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure high coding standards.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing AWS serverless solutions and enterprise-grade applications using TypeScript and React.
• The engineer will implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools to streamline development workflows and maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have proven expertise in TypeScript development and a strong track record of building scalable applications.
• Experience in developing React interfaces for interactive web applications is required.
• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK for defining cloud infrastructure using code is essential.
• Extensive experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, Fargate, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, AppSync, Step Functions, EventBridge, IAM, Cognito, VPC, CloudFront, and Route 53 is necessary.
• Deep knowledge of implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools is required.
• Proficiency with Git/GitLab for source control and collaboration is needed.
• Experience in designing and managing event-driven systems is important.
• A commitment to well-structured code and adherence to SOLID design principles, clean code practices, and REST standards is expected.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing are essential.
