Remote Senior Back End Engineer

• The role is for a Senior Software Engineer who will design and build scalable infrastructure for modern education payments.
• The engineer will collaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership teams to deliver high-impact systems.
• Responsibilities include building and maintaining high-performance backend systems and APIs, making architectural decisions for scalability and security, leading infrastructure initiatives, championing a strong testing culture, collaborating cross-functionally, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4–6 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails is required.
• A solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), Postgres, and CI/CD is necessary.
• Experience in building REST APIs is essential; knowledge of GraphQL/WebSocket is a plus.
• Proven experience in system design, scalability, and performance optimization is required.
• A strong understanding of security best practices in software development is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in remote or hybrid teams are required.

Benefits:

• The compensation for this position ranges from $5,000 to $6,000 per month.
