Description:

  • The Senior Back End Engineer will work within the Core Product department, specifically on the Industry team, which builds relationships with rights owners like Warner Music, Sony Music, Universal Music, and Believe.
  • The main responsibility is to ensure that all content from these rights owners is available for users.
  • The role involves designing architecture for new types of content and developing APIs to serve internal data.
  • The engineer will develop, maintain, and monitor ingestion scripts for various content types and create tools for data enrichment.
  • They will also develop a back office for internal stakeholders and deploy and monitor applications, ensuring their performance, uptime, and quality.
  • The position includes providing technical support for the supply chain team and participating in the ideation process with product managers.
  • Maintaining the quality of the code base and contributing to the Community of Practice to improve Deezer's backend stack is also part of the job.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have solid professional experience with PHP development.
  • Experience with handling large volumes of data and scalability is essential.
  • A first experience in Go is considered a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP best practices (SOLID, DDD, PSRs, unit tests, behat) and MySQL is required.
  • The ability to work autonomously on medium to large scale tasks is necessary.
  • Good experience in engineering best practices, including code versioning, tests, and reviews, is expected.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with Kubernetes apps and Docker environments.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
