The role of Senior Back-End Engineer involves scaling Nabla’s AI-driven healthcare platform and taking ownership of key back-end components.
Responsibilities include designing and building server-side applications and APIs, leading integrations with EHR systems, optimizing back-end architecture, guiding architectural discussions, collaborating with various teams, and mentoring junior engineers.
Nabla processes 10 billion tokens per month and automatically generates hundreds of thousands of clinical notes weekly, significantly saving time for clinicians.
The technology stack includes Kotlin, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, Python, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
The position is based in Paris with a flexible remote work policy.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of industry experience in back-end or full-stack engineering.
A strong foundation in computer science or a related discipline is required.
Proficiency in one or more widely used back-end languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python is necessary.
Deep experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems is essential, with GraphQL and OpenAPI experience being a plus.
Candidates should be comfortable driving architectural decisions and technical strategy.
Writing clean, maintainable code and maintaining high standards for software quality is expected.
Clear communication in English is required.
Bonus points for experience with cloud infrastructure, security/compliance, or healthcare data standards like FHIR.
