The Senior Backend Developer will join the Platform Team remotely from Canada and report to a Senior Software Development Manager.
Responsibilities include owning and maintaining authentication and authorization systems, developing components for the internal library, leading projects, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
The role requires participation in an on-call rotation after full integration into the team.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required, with AWS certifications being a plus.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools like Claude Code or other AI coding assistants.
Experience in developing Distributed Systems and Event-driven Architecture is necessary.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, and SQL is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues are essential.
Excellent communication skills are needed to articulate complex technical issues clearly.
Candidates must excel in a distributed team environment and be self-directed in their work.
