• The Senior Backend Engineer will work across a modern Python-based tech stack (FastAPI, Django, Postgres, Google Cloud) to design and build high-performance systems that scale.
• This role involves mentoring junior developers, leading by example, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Key responsibilities include writing clean, test-driven code, creating technical documentation, contributing to architectural decisions, designing scalable backend systems, improving existing applications, mentoring junior developers, collaborating with teams, championing technical excellence, and contributing to sprint planning.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional backend development experience with strong proficiency in Python.
• A proven track record of designing and building scalable and maintainable RESTful APIs is required.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containers for development and deployment is necessary.
• Strong experience with SQL, including writing, optimizing, and debugging queries, is essential.
• Candidates should be strong communicators, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proven ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive projects to completion is required.
• Demonstrated initiative in improving systems, processes, or team performance beyond assigned responsibilities is expected.
