Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Customer & Monetization (m/f/d)

Description:

• Deezer is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the User Growth team, which consists of talented cross-disciplinary engineers.
• The main objective of the team is to optimize incoming traffic to attract new valuable users to Deezer’s service.
• The ideal candidate will be a Backend Developer with a passion for creating outstanding user experiences and technical expertise.
• Responsibilities include mentoring team members, driving architectural improvements, leading technical discussions, and defining cross-stack solutions to solve customer problems.
• The role also involves working closely with Marketing teams to understand their needs and tools.
• The candidate will foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment and share knowledge across teams.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building high-traffic applications using PHP is required.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID design principles, and backend architecture is essential.
• Knowledge of MySQL and experience in optimizing queries and database structures is necessary.
• Experience working on large and complex codebases at scale is required.
• Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are required.
• Experience managing deployments and monitoring metrics using Git, Kubernetes (K8s), and Jenkins is necessary.
• Conducting code reviews to ensure performance, security, and maintainability is part of the role.
• A mindset focused on code performance and quality is essential.
• Knowledge of GO, GraphQL, TypeScript, or Event Sourcing architecture is a significant plus.
