Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Java

Description:

• As a Senior Backend Engineer (Java), you will play a key role in designing and building resilient systems that power our Data Management Platform.
• You will ensure that these systems perform at scale and operate reliably in production.
• Your responsibilities will include designing and developing backend systems that are cloud-native, highly scalable, and globally distributed.
• You will ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Continuously improving the architecture of our data platform and refining existing components will be part of your role.
• You will tackle challenges in real-time data streaming and event-driven systems.
• Taking ownership of systems in production to ensure reliability and performance is expected.
• You will share knowledge, mentor team members, and contribute to evolving team practices and workflows.

Requirements:

• You must have 7+ years of hands-on backend development experience in a professional setting.
• Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem is required.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services is necessary.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Cassandra, Kafka, or Kinesis is important.
• You should have solid knowledge of RDBMS, Unix/Linux, and version control systems.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and the full development lifecycle is essential.
• A strong understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems at scale is required.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive mindset are necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are needed, and you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
