Modash is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their remote Data Team in Europe.
The role involves building a world-class data platform that powers creator discovery for brands and content creators.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will own projects from idea to launch, focusing on impactful projects such as building a creator search engine, understanding creator demographics, and enhancing AI-assisted search.
The Data Team consists of 4 data engineers and 4 backend engineers, emphasizing collaboration and ownership.
The company operates in a remote-first environment with regular team offsites for connection and collaboration.
The tech stack includes AWS, ElasticSearch, Airflow, Spark, and various AWS services.
Requirements:
Candidates must have solid experience as a Backend Engineer handling large-scale APIs.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, NodeJS, and Python is required.
Deep expertise with Elasticsearch or comparable search technologies is essential.
Hands-on experience with data scraping, collection, and processing is necessary.
Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including Glue, EMR, and DynamoDB, is required.
Applicants should have experience building full features from idea to production, including planning, architecture, coding, and release.
Candidates must be based in Europe with at least a few hours of overlap with GMT+3.
