  • Collaboration with PMs and cross-functional engineering teams is essential to ensure maintainable and scalable backend systems.
  • You will contribute to infrastructure discussions and enhancements for the cloud platform hosted on AWS.
  • Fostering a strong code review culture and maintaining high standards for testing and documentation is expected.
  • Ensuring platform scalability, reliability, and performance is a continuous responsibility.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on complex backend applications or large-scale platforms is required.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, ideally with Laravel; familiarity with Go is considered a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with legacy codebases and transitioning them to modern architectures is necessary.
  • You should demonstrate the ability to make thoughtful architectural decisions and coach others on backend practices.
  • An independent, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are required.
  • A commitment to code quality, testing, and long-term maintainability is expected.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • The position offers remote flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere in Europe or from office hubs in Augsburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Munich, and Lohne.
