This position is for a Senior Backend Engineer at Twingate, located in the United States, and is remote.

The Senior Backend Engineer will work on high-impact projects that enable seamless, zero-trust access to cloud and on-prem resources.
Responsibilities include collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable software.
The position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality, secure solutions.
The engineer will contribute to the full project lifecycle, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the architecture of critical backend systems.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and delivering large-scale applications into production.
Strong proficiency in Python is required, and experience with the Django framework is a major plus.
Hands-on experience in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (with a preference for GCP) is necessary.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable backend systems is essential.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases is required.
Strong communication skills are necessary, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
A passion for high-quality coding standards and clean architecture is expected.
A degree in Computer Science is preferred but not mandatory.
Optional but advantageous skills include experience with React, TypeScript, NextJS, Docker/Kubernetes, GraphQL APIs, asynchronous programming, basic computer networking, and technical leadership.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $175,000 to $220,000 per year.
