  • Runwise is a climate-tech startup that manages energy systems in over 7500 buildings across the US, significantly reducing energy usage and carbon output.
  • The Senior Backend Engineer will design, test, and implement core software for building controls and serverless cloud infrastructure that processes and analyzes billions of data points.
  • Responsibilities include contributing to the core Golang application and infrastructure, which supports web, mobile web, native mobile apps, and APIs that handle significant data volumes.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience writing in Golang.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of engineering experience is required.
  • Passion for building new products is essential.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, AWS Lambda, EC2, and CloudFormation is necessary.
  • Some experience with Python is considered a plus.
  • Experience in building embedded software architecture is required.
  • Candidates should have experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
  • A passion for working with systems at scale is important.
  • Availability from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm EST is required.
