The position involves working on APIs that support member-facing products and iterating on the banking platform.
Engineers will own projects from end-to-end, influencing architecture, implementing APIs, and maintaining code health.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, refactoring, and scaling backend implementations of new and existing consumer product features.
Collaboration with the mobile team is required to design and build resilient APIs for the member-facing mobile app.
Engineers will work with cross-functional teams to understand member pain points and develop solutions.
The role includes proactively identifying opportunities to improve system reliability and scalability.
Engineers will work across the engineering team to uphold high technical standards.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience developing software in a production environment at scale.
Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks is required.
Experience with transactional databases and caching systems is necessary.
Candidates should have exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications.
An appreciation for maintainable and well-tested code is essential.
Candidates should enjoy learning and exploring the deeper workings of systems.
Start-up experience is considered a plus.

The base salary for this role starts at $176,490 and can go up to $245,100, with eligibility for bonuses and a competitive equity package.
