• Join the Tonsser Team as a Senior Backend Engineer with a salary range of €62,000 - €72,000 a year.
• Tonsser is a platform for youth football with nearly 2 million registered players in 11 countries, aiming to democratize football and provide equal access to opportunities.
• As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be a vital part of the engineering team, impacting the core of the football platform.
• Your responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of the Ruby on Rails API, which is used across various platforms including iOS, Android, React, and Admin.
• You will embrace the monolithic architecture, enhancing it for simplicity and expandability, and be involved in all phases of product development from brainstorming to deployment and refinement.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Backend Engineer is required.
• You should have built and architected well-crafted and scalable APIs using Ruby on Rails or a similar web framework.
• Comfort with REST, JSON, and a curiosity about GraphQL is necessary.
• Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL is essential.
• You must be detail-oriented, focusing on writing high-quality maintainable code.
• Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability should be a natural part of your workflow.
• You should be a team player who strives to improve not only themselves but also those around them.
• Valuing developer productivity by automating as many tasks as possible in your daily workflow is important.
• Knowledge of running resilient and scalable distributed services is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.
