As a Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript, API, SQL), you will develop scalable APIs, optimize large SQL databases, and write high-performance queries.
You'll ensure code quality through testing and collaborate with teams to build efficient backend solutions.
Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services using TypeScript and Node.js, designing and implementing RESTful APIs with Fastify and OpenAPI, and working with large-scale legacy SQL databases (Oracle SQL & Microsoft SQL Server).
You will write and optimize complex SQL queries using Knex, address SQL performance considerations, implement unit and integration tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements.
Requirements:
Proven backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js is required.
Strong expertise in building and managing APIs using Fastify and OpenAPI is necessary.
Extensive experience working with large, complex SQL databases, supporting both Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries without using an ORM is required, ensuring efficiency across multiple database platforms.
A deep understanding of SQL performance optimization, including best practices for handling large datasets, is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Knex.js for database query building is required.
Strong testing skills, including writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, are essential.
The ability to work independently, following clearly documented tickets and delivering high-quality solutions, is necessary.
