Within a year, the engineer will know the major components of the system, mentor new engineers, and influence improvements in reliability and performance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with complex systems.
Proficiency in writing and debugging SQL is required.
A strong passion for debugging and resolving production issues is essential.
Candidates should have excellent command of at least one mainstream programming language.
Experience in shipping high-quality code with good testing practices in iterative cycles is necessary.
Effective communication and collaboration skills in a fully-remote culture are required.
A proactive attitude towards fixing issues and suggesting improvements is important.
Candidates should be versatile and quick learners.
Bonus qualifications include experience in Python, PostgreSQL, Stripe SDK or other payment providers, and some experience with React and SPA applications.
