As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will build reliable systems, improve data accuracy across member, client, and operational workflows, and automate critical processes for seamless care delivery.
Your work will enable faster decision-making, reduce manual processes, and ensure data accuracy and accessibility for internal teams and external partners.
You will utilize an AI-augmented mindset to enhance development workflows and identify opportunities to integrate AI into processes.
Responsibilities include building and enhancing scalable Golang microservices, automating operational workflows, designing self-service tools, ensuring data accuracy, collaborating with data and AI teams, and contributing to client-facing APIs.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience shipping backend code in a high-quality production environment, particularly with data-centric systems.
Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining microservices in production is required.
You should have experience with data and event-based architectures, including API development, SQL/NoSQL datastores, and messaging queues.
Proficiency in Golang is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure is required.
Strong communication skills are essential, with a proven history of interfacing with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders.
You should demonstrate a commitment to long-term thinking and making a business impact while maintaining engineering quality.

The compensation range for this role is $167,249 - $216,000, based on qualifications and experience.
