Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The role involves working with cross-functional Agile teams to architect, design, and build the next generation of backend systems.
The engineer will be responsible for the entire Software Development Life Cycle of their code, including development, testing, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements.
Collaboration with other teams to incorporate their requirements and manage dependencies is essential, with a focus on having a big picture in mind and a plan.
The engineer will actively participate in design and code reviews and work with the Ops team on deployment, owning the team’s deployment pipelines.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of industry experience in delivery using Java (version 8 or later).
A minimum of 1 year of experience directly managing a team of 2 or more direct reports is required.
Experience with frameworks such as Spring and SpringBoot is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with Design Systems.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and testing tools is essential.
Fluency in Portuguese and English, with professional-level verbal and written communication skills, is required.
