Protera is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Cloud Architect with a focus on AWS Migration to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will possess expertise in AWS and on-premises workload migration, with a deep understanding of Cloud Adoption Frameworks adapted for AWS environments.
The role involves dependency mapping to set up migration move groups to AWS.
As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers modernize and optimize their IT infrastructure through seamless and efficient cloud migration.
Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to understand their existing infrastructure and recommending optimal migration strategies, leveraging AWS's Cloud Adoption Framework for best practices, architecting and implementing large-scale migration solutions, evaluating migration tools, utilizing dependency mapping techniques, assessing workloads for cloud readiness, developing documentation and migration roadmaps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and support, staying updated on AWS technologies, acting as a subject matter expert, and leading workshops with customers.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud computing, with at least 6 years specifically focused on AWS architecture and solutions is required.
Demonstrated experience in leading successful large-scale AWS migration projects, including data center migrations from on-premises to the AWS cloud.
A deep understanding of AWS's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and its application in real-world scenarios is essential.
Strong understanding of core AWS infrastructure services, including Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, and AWS Networking services.
Proficiency in automation using scripts and other cloud-native services such as Powershell, Bash, Python, or CloudFormation Templates is necessary.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) is required.
Deep hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, is mandatory; Ansible experience is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Certification is required.
