The Senior Cloud Engineer will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and ensure seamless integration of new software.
This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
The ideal candidate should be a proactive problem solver with extensive experience in AWS cloud services, Terraform, Python scripting, and Ansible configuration management.
Responsibilities include understanding clients' existing infrastructure, recommending migration strategies to AWS, and utilizing AWS's Cloud Adoption Framework for best practices.
The engineer will architect, design, and implement large-scale migration solutions using core AWS services such as Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, and Amazon RDS.
The role involves evaluating tools for migration, assessing workloads for cloud readiness, and developing documentation and migration roadmaps.
The engineer will provide technical guidance and support to clients during the migration process and stay updated on emerging AWS technologies.
The position requires leading workshops with customers and engaging in knowledge-sharing activities.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of experience with AWS and at least 5 years in Linux is required.
An active AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification is mandatory.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure solutions, including enterprise directories and on-premises hosting platforms, is necessary.
Experience in leading cloud readiness assessments, workshops, and application modernization discussions is essential.
Strong experience with data center migrations to AWS using cloud-native tools is required.
Proficiency in automation (IaC) and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible is necessary.
Advanced System Administration experience with Linux distributions like SUSE, CentOS, and RedHat is required.
Familiarity with core AWS platform architecture, including account design and VPC segmentation strategies, is essential.
Prior experience in Managed Services for AWS is a plus.
