Description:

  • Coalfire is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineering Consultant to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing systems for clients.
  • The role involves serving as a cloud subject matter expert (SME) in design, architecture, and deployment engagements across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Responsibilities include partnering with leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to meet security goals and facilitate digital transformation.
  • The consultant will design and implement security tooling solutions such as Tenable, Trend Micro, AquaSec, Microsoft Defender, and Burp Suite.
  • The position requires developing client cloud and security strategies, vision-state architectures, roadmaps, and planning activities.
  • The consultant will conduct cloud configuration and maturity reviews and coordinate with clients to create secure and effective solutions.
  • The role involves designing and implementing secure enterprise servers, network infrastructure, and cloud architectures using Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • The consultant will work with various technology stacks in leading cloud providers and support the security assessment and authorization process.
  • Responsibilities also include authoring and peer reviewing detailed design documentation, including security documentation and vendor best practices.

Requirements:

  • A BS or higher in a related Information Technology field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant systems engineering and architecture experience, including requirements definition and systems integration.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, implementation, operations, and automation in AWS, Azure, or GCP is necessary.
  • Candidates should have 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP platform capabilities and services is required.
  • Experience working in technical teams of 3+ individuals in an Agile environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Effective documentation skills, including technical diagrams and written descriptions, are required.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team with a professional attitude.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to balance security requirements with mission needs are essential.
  • The ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately in a dynamic environment is required.
