Prolific is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join their Platform team.
The role involves empowering developers to build and deploy applications swiftly, securely, and seamlessly.
The engineer will ensure the infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and ready for growth.
Responsibilities include implementing automation strategies, championing best practices, and serving as a technical expert across Prolific.
The engineer will manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters in GKE through Terraform and support compliance with SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials standards.
The role also includes designing and implementing automation strategies that empower developers to self-serve while reducing operational complexity.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience administering and optimizing large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
Strong experience with Kubernetes tooling, such as Helm and kustomize, is required.
Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture is essential.
Strong knowledge in GKE and Kubernetes, including maintenance and optimization of production clusters, is necessary.
Candidates should have strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
Solid programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript are required.
Experience creating developer-focused documentation and self-service solutions is necessary.
Strong customer empathy with a focus on supporting the needs of internal teams is essential.
Experience with AWS and CDK, cloud compliance standards, observability tools like Datadog, and implementing security best practices in cloud infrastructure is a plus.
