Remote Senior CloudOps Engineer

Description:

• The Senior CloudOps Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for setting up the necessary infrastructure for the business.
• This role includes automating all manual tasks related to the building and deployment of code, data, and other assets, particularly focusing on Azure AI Services for internal business operations.
• The individual will automate development and infrastructure processes to seize opportunities without compromising quality.
• The candidate will collaborate with application development teams, product owners, infrastructure architects, and other business stakeholders to support their needs.
• They will review, identify, and implement processes that reduce the need for manual intervention.
• The ideal candidate will champion CloudOps and DevOps culture and act as a change agent to foster a cultural shift in the software delivery process.
• The role emphasizes improving communication and collaboration to facilitate iterative improvement.
• Essential functions include collaborating with teams to create and maintain infrastructure documents, designing tools for automated infrastructure setup and deployment pipelines, optimizing existing infrastructure, maintaining cost efficiency, configuring and maintaining Azure components, following change management procedures, creating documentation for common processes, researching new automation technologies, and preparing effort estimates for work undertaken.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E.) or Technology (B. Tech.) is required, with a preference for a degree in computer science or related fields.
• The candidate must have experience building and managing infrastructure for Azure Open AI services.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and implementing cloud infrastructure and building pipelines is required.
• The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in information technology.
• Experience with various software development tools, open-source technologies, and Azure cloud services is necessary.
• The candidate must have experience setting up various Azure tools and services, including network, security, and compute.
• Experience working in a team following Agile software development lifecycle practices is required.
• Proficiency in using GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar systems for software development lifecycle management, source control, branching, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts and tooling, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is required.
• Agile software development experience is necessary.
• The role may require domestic and/or international travel, including overnight stays, up to 5%.
