Lovelytics is seeking an ambitious data engineer who is comfortable working in a client-facing role to join our Data & AI team and work on strategic Databricks and other data engineering projects.
This Level 2 position will primarily focus on participating in engagements with clients related to data warehousing, ETL development, data integrations, and data modeling.
The role requires someone who wants to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive environment and has a passion for data engineering.
This role is open to remote candidates in the US and Toronto, Canada.
This role is not eligible for candidates requiring sponsorship in order to work in the US.
Requirements:
A B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in data engineering and big data in a professional setting, preferably with 1 year of working directly with clients and external stakeholders.
Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience deploying pipelines using Databricks and/or Spark is a must.
Proficiency in programming languages, including writing and debugging Python, SQL, and possibly Scala code, is required.
Basic data modeling and database design skills, along with knowledge of version control, are necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
A Databricks certification is a plus.
