Gypsy is looking for a Senior Data Analyst who is a seeker of patterns, a builder of meaning, and a navigator through metrics, models, and signals.
The role involves creating and validating hypotheses based on data.
The analyst will use statistical methods to identify patterns and build and optimize predictive models, including Machine Learning, regression, and clustering.
Responsibilities include analyzing changes in key metrics and identifying their causes, developing logic for distinguishing VIP and regular players, and designing models for analyzing player activity and player retention.
The position requires continuously improving data collection, processing, and analysis workflows, developing and maintaining Python scripts to automate processes, and ensuring data quality while troubleshooting processing errors.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working with large datasets and building complex models.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Python is required, including the use of libraries for analysis and modeling such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, and statsmodels.
Applicants should have at least 3 years of SQL experience, specifically working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
Experience with Tableau or Superset for visualization optimization for large datasets is required, with a minimum of 2 years.
Candidates must be confident users of Git for code and data version control, conflict resolution, and pull requests.
Experience in the iGaming environment is preferred.
Preferred qualifications include experience with A/B testing tools and familiarity with BigQuery or other analytical data warehouses.
