Kentro is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in analyzing clinical data and evaluating health informatics solutions.
The qualified applicant will support the VA enterprise and should be skilled in reporting and analytics tools and methods.
Responsibilities include developing and managing information for strategic decision-making, performing complex analyses, and communicating findings to business owners and senior leaders.
The role involves conducting analyses, data research, data manipulation, risk assessment, solution development, and strategic alignment.
The analyst will provide consulting and analytic services to leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data visualizations with meaningful insights.
The position requires analyzing and interpreting data trends and patterns with performance objectives in mind and defining data assets to develop performance measurements, key performance indicators, and objectives.
Experience in extracting and transforming data from the Veterans Affairs Corporate Data Warehouse is necessary.
This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a quantitative field with 2 years of relevant experience is required.
Candidates must have experience creating and analyzing clinical data and developing data visualizations that communicate clinical outcomes, improvements, and costs.
Advanced experience in handling complex data sets within large organizations, including data cleaning, transformation, and analysis, is essential.
Advanced SQL development experience is required.
Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization platforms, preferably Power BI, is necessary.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, and candidates must provide examples if chosen for an interview.
A strong understanding of version control (i.e., git) is needed.
Preferred qualifications include experience in Agile, SAFe Agile, VistA/CPRS, cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and Databricks, and expertise in Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Forecasting, Simulation, and/or Predictive Modeling, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Programming skills in Python and/or R with a focus on data analysis, data science, or machine learning are preferred.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
