  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust batch and streaming pipelines using Scio, GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, GCS), and orchestration tools like Flyte and Styx.
  • The engineer will own the development and optimization of high-throughput, low-latency pipelines and APIs for various measurement projects.
  • Collaboration with product managers, designers, and senior engineers is essential to establish the measurement roadmap and build next-generation products.
  • The role involves serving as a technical lead, overseeing architecture and development of key initiatives, and ensuring adherence to Spotify’s Golden Path technologies.
  • The engineer will work in a T-shaped environment, collaborating with various stakeholders and embracing learning and leadership opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have confirmed experience with distributed, high-volume production data pipelines and services, as well as familiarity with tools like BigQuery and BigTable.
  • A strong curiosity and willingness to learn is essential, along with some experience in backend development and API design.
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Scala is required, with hands-on experience in frameworks like Scio and Apache Beam; experience with Python is a plus.
  • A dedication to agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation is necessary.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of leading complex projects as a technical lead, overseeing cross-functional development and deployment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and effective communication with stakeholders are crucial.

  • Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Flyte and Styx is required.

Benefits:

  • The position offers a competitive salary range of $160,091 to $228,702, plus equity.
