The Senior Data Engineering Manager will lead major projects within BLEND360 and work with the data engineering team to develop innovative data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs, leading Data Engineers to build and maintain the Data Platform, and working on emerging technologies to build distributed applications.
The role involves driving end-to-end development efforts for high-quality solutions, presenting technical solutions in business terms, and further developing initiatives like Data Discovery, Data Lineage, and Data Quality.
The manager will mentor junior resources, help team members grow, build data systems and pipelines, and conduct complex data analysis.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience and a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, IT, or a similar field.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role is required.
Experience executing projects end-to-end is essential.
Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques is necessary.
A deep understanding of at least one object-oriented library (Python, Scala) is required.
Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of SQL warehouses and relational databases are mandatory.
Proficiency in Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL, and distributed processing frameworks is needed.
Candidates should be able to build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines.
The ability to work independently and mentor junior resources is important.
A desire to lead and develop a team of Data Engineers across multiple levels is required.
