The Senior Data Engineer will drive the data platform strategy and implementation with a focus on Azure Cloud to ensure the organization’s data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
The role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the data platform, utilizing technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, CosmosDB, and Azure SQL Database.
The engineer will ensure that the data platform enables easy access to high-quality, secure, and compliant data for all stakeholders, fostering a self-service analytics environment.
The position requires cross-squad coordination to meet company-wide data objectives and maintain strategic coherence.
The engineer will facilitate collaboration between product management, data science, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven products and services.
Responsibilities include developing and executing the data engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives, and overseeing the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure data architectures.
The role also involves ensuring adherence to best practices for data governance, security, and compliance across engineering squads and staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
Candidates must have expertise in building and scaling data platforms, with a strong focus on Azure Cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database, as well as Databricks.
Proven experience in leading the implementation of data platform strategies and managing large-scale data infrastructure initiatives using Azure and/or Databricks is required.
Strong experience with NoSQL Database architecture and data modeling is essential.
A solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems is necessary for this role.
