Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• Claritas Rx is a venture-backed digital health startup focused on specialty biopharmaceutical products.

• The Senior Data Engineer will report to the Director of Data Engineering and will be responsible for various data engineering initiatives related to the Data Aggregation product roadmap.
• The role involves owning and driving multiple major workstreams, refining requirements, creating design documents, and delivering rapid prototypes and proofs of concept.
• The Senior Data Engineer will oversee implementation plans using both onshore and offshore resources, provide weekly status updates, and ensure that work is deployed to production and operational.
• Responsibilities include developing a secure, robust, and scalable data pipeline for healthcare data, transforming disparate data into actionable insights.
• Key accountabilities include designing and overseeing technology architecture, managing structured and unstructured data, creating detailed design documents, leading offshore engineers, and improving developer experience.
• The role also involves participating in operational reviews, securely handling PHI, applying AI tooling, and fostering a team culture of excellence and collaboration.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience leading other software engineers is required.
• Expertise in data architecture and business intelligence systems, including ELT development, data transformation, and BI dashboard design, is essential.
• Candidates must have at least 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Typescript, and SQL, each with a minimum of 5 years of experience, is required.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling, preferably CDK, for at least 5 years is necessary.
• Deep expertise and certifications in AWS are required.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with ETL tooling on AWS, familiarity with Golang, Kinesis data streaming, visualization tools like Tableau, and knowledge of HIPAA/SOC/HITRUST requirements.
