The Senior Data Engineer will participate in the design and build of modern data products, including raw data stores and cleansed data repositories.
The role involves working with a team to create a robust, sustainable, and flexible design while leading technical delivery using Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
Responsibilities include working closely with stakeholders to architect, build, and deploy data acquisition initiatives, participating in all stages of data pipeline development, and designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining data services and pipelines to AWS.
The Data Engineer will also develop best practices for continuous process automation and prepare and present proof of concepts to stakeholders.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3+ years of relevant professional work experience is required.
Candidates must have experience in designing and developing SQL or Python data pipelines that power data lakes and data warehouses.
Experience in designing and developing big data pipelines with both structured and unstructured data is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable with modern data orchestration tools such as DBT, AWS Glue, Apache NiFi, and Airflow.
Experience with test-driven code development practices and GitLab code development practices is required.
Candidates should be comfortable developing infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
