The company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing Data team.
The role involves working directly on data pipelines and systems that create the Hungryroot Analytics data model, which informs financial decision-making, product development, and inventory management.
Responsibilities include developing pipelines in Spark (Python + Scala) on the Databricks Platform, building relationships with business partners, ensuring system reliability and performance, and maintaining data pipelines in production.
The Senior Data Engineer will set an example of code quality and best practices, work with Analysts and Data Engineers to enable high-quality self-service analytics, and investigate datasets to answer business questions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in ETL development and data modeling.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in both Scala and Python is required.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in Spark.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business problems into practical solutions are essential.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience working with the Databricks Platform is required.
