Maxana is looking for a skilled data engineer with extensive experience in Magento to join our client and lead the development and maintenance of e-commerce platforms for an industry-leading client.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Magento-based solutions that enhance functionality and improve user experiences.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions that align with client goals.
Key responsibilities include modernizing and developing e-commerce applications, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Magento applications and extensions, and customizing Magento themes and templates to create tailored user experiences.
You will also integrate third-party modules and APIs to enhance platform functionality, optimize Magento sites for performance, scalability, and security, and troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure seamless operation of e-commerce platforms.
Collaboration with designers and frontend developers to implement new features and enhancements is essential.
Staying updated with the latest Magento developments, trends, and best practices to recommend improvements is expected.
Participation in code reviews and sharing knowledge with team members to foster a collaborative environment is also part of the role.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Magento development, with hands-on experience in Magento 2 is required.
Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is necessary.
Experience with Magento extensions and theming is essential.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues are necessary.
Experience with integrating APIs and third-party services is required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment are essential.
Magento certifications are a plus.
