We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team, specifically targeting candidates in Brazil, Argentina, or Colombia, and offering a comfortable remote work environment.
The role involves leading the Data Engineering team in a large-scale data modernization effort for a major enterprise client.
Responsibilities include migrating and transforming complex legacy data pipelines to a modern custom-built cloud environment to enhance scalability, maintainability, and compliance.
The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions tailored to unique business needs.
The position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with modern technologies such as GCP, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, dbt, Airflow, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data warehouse modeling.
A strong proficiency in designing and building ETL processes for large data volumes and streaming solutions is required.
Expert-level SQL skills and experience with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg tables are essential.
Hands-on experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, GCS, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub, is necessary.
Proficiency in Python for ETL scripting and DAG development is required.
Experience using dbt for data transformation and orchestration is a must.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Git, Terraform, and Serverless is expected.
A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields is required.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience guiding technical teams are essential.
Candidates must possess strong communication and collaboration abilities.
An upper-intermediate or higher level of English is required.
